DSi after a week
Monday, April 13th, 2009
It has been one week since the Nintendo DSi has been out and it is not a surprise that it is already selling well. Gamers may have been thinking either upgrading their DS/DS Lite to a DSi, or else jumping into the Nintendo DS game platform for the first time. Before doing so please check out the following Pros and Cons:
Pros:
The DS games gives a crisp resolution display at the larger size, with up to five levels of brightness.
The Nintendo DSi Shop delivers DSiWare games at only $2 minimum and up also. Now new games will be releasing each week and that too at a very low cost.
It is a real fun to use the camera effects of the DSi.
Another real fun is the audio and music.
It gets a storage solution for the first time. Gamers can now save games, pictures and music/sound.
Cons:
Gamers cannot play GBA game cartridges, no DS rumble support, and no Guitar Hero DS games.
There are no retail DSi exclusive games yet.
Transferring music files is a pain over here unless the music files are in AAC format. Other formats are not working.

DSi is worth the money
Sunday, April 12th, 2009
The best part of DSi: It has digital photo manipulation, rudimentary sound editing and also download store.
The bad thing of DSi: There is no MP3 digital music support and also it is not compatible with older Game Boy Advance.
The bottom line of DSi: It is a fun and useful update to Nintendo’s hugely popular handheld franchise.

Nintendo is dominating the handheld gaming, hands down. Nintendo has recently announced that it has sold over 100 million of the original Nintendo DS and its follow-on DS Lite. This figure is from the time the line was introduced that is about five years ago. There is a little evidence of about the momentum is slowing.
If it is a fact that the DS line is doing so well then why Nintendo is introducing a new version, the Nintendo DSi? The answer is that once again the Nintendo has redefined handheld gaming by delivering a device that is very good for hours of mostly mindless fun.
The company loads the $170 DSi with technology, that is with a camera and photo-editing software. So, it is hours of fun even before a user begins playing a professionally created game.

Closer look to DSi
Monday, April 6th, 2009
As every gamer and of course all Nintendo fans already knows that Nintendo has sold 100 million DS and DS Lites.
Now the new question is that is there really much of a market out there for more of these little wonders? The new Nintendo DSi, which went on sale recently for $170, is suppose to find out.
After having a close look of the new handheld it is learned that Nintendo won’t have much trouble peddling the latest DS iteration to existing owners and newcomers.
Why is it so? Its here. Just read on:
The hardware of the Nintendo DSi comes with slightly bigger screens, there are two cameras, a download store and the ability to store games on an SD card. It also has the ability to edit and manipulate photos and music. The result of this new little wonder is a more robust platform that can play new camera-based games and can offer smaller and more-inventive games through the DSi Shop.

Pros and Cons of DSi
Saturday, April 4th, 2009
Nintendo rolls out of its latest iteration of the Nintendo DS, the DSi this April on 5th. The new one is a bunch of cool little features that includes two digital camera lenses, internal storage, and SDHC card support. The new Nintendo also manages to look and feel even better than the Nintendo DS Lite. But, the question arises: Do gamers drop $170 on this new gaming handheld?
Here is some one pro and one big con, and then gamers can easily make out.
The Pro: The extra features of the Nintendo tacked on to this iteration make it a gaming- and gadget-lover’s plaything.
The Con: As much as it is noticed what Nintendo is trying to do here, most of it is in half-steps. It means that just 256MB of internal memory. Gamers can find that inside cereal boxes at this point. The memory is cheap, and yes, the space is not such. In running the game off of an SDHC card if gamers are trying to save money, but don’t tease the action with that slot and say that it is only good for stashing photos, unused apps, and AAC music files. No MP3 and also No WMA No….WAV. In short, it is noticed that the DSi is very much one system update shy of greatness.

Health control timer in Nintendo DSi
Friday, April 3rd, 2009
May the Nintendo DSi have launched today, but here is something unique that the owners of Nintendo DS Lite may take advantage of: a Health Control Game Timer that flicks the off switch for gamers when they have been playing for too long.
This new feature of Health Control Game Timer by the owners of Nintendo in Nintendo DS is ideal if gamers end up playing Ace Attorney for hours on end. Slot the game in to the Nintendo DS Lite GBA slot and set the timer for 30 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes or even to 120 minutes and carry on gaming as normal.
As gamers get closer to the time limit, an LED light will start glowing in the gadget, and the Nintendo DS Lite will start vibrating and also beeping. If gamers manage to play through all that and hit the time limit then this gaming gadget will simply switch off, without saving the current game.

Unfortunately, since the Nintendo DSi does not have a GBA slot, gamers will still be able to go overboard on it.
This feature of Nintendo DS Lite is certainly ideal if gamers don’t know when to stop - and of course know how to import goods from Japan. Gamers could now simply take it out before playing if they have some real addiction.
