DSi after a week

Monday, April 13th, 2009

It has been one week since the has been out and it is not a surprise that it is already selling well. may have been thinking either upgrading their DS/ to a , or else jumping into the DS game platform for the first time. Before doing so please check out the following Pros and Cons:

Pros:

The DS games gives a crisp resolution display at the larger size, with up to five levels of brightness.

The Shop delivers DSiWare games at only $2 minimum and up also. Now new games will be releasing each week and that too at a very low cost.

It is a real fun to use the effects of the .

Another real fun is the audio and music.

It gets a storage solution for the first time. can now save games, pictures and music/sound.

Cons:

cannot play GBA game cartridges, no DS rumble support, and no Guitar Hero DS games.

There are no retail exclusive games yet.

Transferring music files is a pain over here unless the music files are in AAC format. Other formats are not working.

DSi is worth the money

Sunday, April 12th, 2009

The best part of : It has digital photo manipulation, rudimentary sound editing and also download store.
The bad thing of : There is no MP3 digital music support and also it is not compatible with older Game Boy Advance.
The bottom line of : It is a fun and useful update to ’s hugely popular handheld franchise.

is dominating the handheld , hands down. has recently announced that it has sold over 100 million of the original DS and its follow-on . This figure is from the time the line was introduced that is about five years ago. There is a little evidence of about the momentum is slowing.

If it is a fact that the DS line is doing so well then why is introducing a new version, the ? The answer is that once again the has redefined handheld by delivering a device that is very good for hours of mostly mindless fun.

The company loads the $170 with technology, that is with a and photo-editing software. So, it is hours of fun even before a user begins playing a professionally created game.

Pros and Cons of DSi

Saturday, April 4th, 2009

rolls out of its latest iteration of the DS, the this April on 5th. The new one is a bunch of cool little features that includes two digital lenses, internal storage, and SDHC card support. The new also manages to look and feel even better than the . But, the question arises: Do drop $170 on this new handheld?

Here is some one pro and one big con, and then can easily make out.

The Pro: The extra features of the tacked on to this iteration make it a - and gadget-lover’s plaything.

The Con: As much as it is noticed what is trying to do here, most of it is in half-steps. It means that just 256MB of internal memory. can find that inside cereal boxes at this point. The memory is cheap, and yes, the space is not such. In running the game off of an SDHC card if are trying to save money, but don’t tease the action with that slot and say that it is only good for stashing photos, unused apps, and AAC music files. No MP3 and also No WMA No….WAV. In short, it is noticed that the is very much one system update shy of greatness.

Health control timer in Nintendo DSi

Friday, April 3rd, 2009

May the have launched today, but here is something unique that the owners of may take advantage of: a Health Control Game Timer that flicks the off switch for when they have been playing for too long.

This new feature of Health Control Game Timer by the owners of in DS is ideal if end up playing Ace Attorney for hours on end. Slot the game in to the and set the timer for 30 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes or even to 120 minutes and carry on as normal.

As get closer to the time limit, an LED light will start glowing in the gadget, and the will start vibrating and also beeping. If manage to play through all that and hit the time limit then this gadget will simply switch off, without saving the current game.

Unfortunately, since the does not have a , will still be able to go overboard on it.

This feature of is certainly ideal if don’t know when to stop - and of course know how to import goods from Japan. could now simply take it out before playing if they have some real addiction.
