Sunday, October 18th, 2009
The first and important news that needs to be delivered first is that the next-generation Nintendo DS is going to be launched in 2010. In fact this is the successor of the Nintendo DS, Nintendo DSLite and the Nintendo DSi. This will have more powerful graphics technology than the three.

Now the next news: nVidia Tegra will now produce a system chip for the handheld. They have won a contract. This deal would boost nVidia significant profits because DS has gained massive success.
This can also be seen as a coup because Nintendo earlier had been an IBM and ATI customer.
What was the reason of this deal?
nVidia is offering a single-chip for the handheld. It has reduced costs and also the complexities.

Is the DSi worth? A quick answer
Sunday, October 4th, 2009
The latest version of Nintendo’s blockbuster handheld is now available for six months. Did the handheld carved out new direction for the handheld gaming or it is only an old piece of hardware having few gimmicks thrown in?.
A quick answer for is the DSi worth it?
Nintendo is of course the reigning kings in gaming market of handheld. It has broken ground with legacy ’Game and Watch’ devices of 80s. It’s ’Game Boy’ became a household name in 90s.
Nintendo has also managed to persevere and dominate the gaming industry. In 2005 the DS platform was launched and it is still loved by gamers. It was replaced by DS Lite. This was much successful and this year we saw the local release, the DSi. Latest of it brings a camera and a new interface.
Next improvement was the replacement of GBA slot with SD slot in the DS and DS Lite and further DSi was unveiled by addeding processing power. Finally, the release of DSiWare. It is a service that is much like WiiWare and has rewarded the Wii owners with many quality downloadable games.
