March 8th, 2009
Speculations are there about the DSi. It is said that it is competing with the iPod Touch.
The argument may be created that it is trying to compete with Apple’s iPhone-like music player that is with northward graph being marketed to gamers. But, CEO Satoru Iwata of Nintendo speaks with different words.

This weekend on the company’s Nintendo DSi page in “Iwata Asks,” Iwata mentions the notion of Nintendo trying to compete with the iPod is ridiculous.
He also writes that Nintendo does not have any sort of intention of directly competing with the existing products, but the media has a tendency to portray everything as a rivalry between opposing companies. It seems as if that some people have the impression that the company want to compete with the iPod by putting cameras or music players in our devices.
He also further adds that he hopes for those who have these kind of impression will take an interest in what Nintendo can make when it dedicates itself to pleasing much people who pick up a DS, and he also hopes that they will actually pick one up themselves.
