Students made orchestra out of Nintendo DS Lite games
Friday, December 25th, 2009
Can Nintendo DS Lite games ever become musical instruments? Truly speaking, the answer is a big NO. But…
But, the at Widnes school it is possible. The children of the school formed an orchestra, of course pleasing one, by just using the Nintendo DS Lite games machines as their musical instruments.

Ah! Isn’t something really great and creative?
Our Lady Of Perpetual Succour Catholic Primary School students played the Nintendo DS Lite games supported music at the opening of a Liverpool exhibition that was organised by the city’s Foundation for Art and Creative Technology (FACT). The event was entitled Space Invaders – Art and the Computer Game Environment. It will run until February 21 next year.
The kids of the school joined the artist and also the regular FACT associate Ross Dalziel to use PixelH8’s Tech Master Chiptune software for Nintendo DS Lite gaming system.
This unique project was a part of the Halton Borough Council’s small school arts cluster.
