Should we buy DSi or should we not
Saturday, February 21st, 2009
Estimated unit sales of Nintendo are very close to 100 million all around the world. This gaming instrument has prove to be the leading in the industry of the portable console market every time. Nintendo DSi, the second refresh of it, is starting to see the developers move in an evolutionary direction with its flagship handheld.

The Nintendo DSi has taken most of the features, which the Lite had to offer. It also adds new multimedia capabilities in the console. Nintendo DSi is now on sale in Japan. The sale started in November 1 last year. Already one million has been sold. Now the company has announced that DSi will start its sale in North America from April 5. Everyone asks the same and simple question, “Should I buy one?”
Let us take a look what exactly separates this new DSi from the DS Lite. The difference between the two portables is negligible if we talk in terms of actual form-factor. It is slightly slimmer, but we will not find massive change in size like we saw when Nintendo upgraded the actual DS to DS Lite. Both screens are a quarter of an inch larger.

Nintendo on the way of launching in US
Friday, February 20th, 2009
Nintendo is going to launch its latest version of the portable video game system in the United States. The expected date is April 5. The company will add 2 digital cameras to it and also an added feature of the ability to play with sound recordings.

The DSi that is at present available in its home country i.e. Japan will be costing $170 and will be available in 2 colors - black and blue. This is in fact the 3rd iteration of the most popular handheld gaming system on the planet. The DS Lite, its predecessor, comes at the cost of $130.
The new one that is going to be launched will be slimmer than the DS Lite, sports bigger screens and will include 2 digital cameras — one that will face outward and the other to point at the user when the device is flipped open. Nintendo likened them to a set of eyes.
The maker of Nintendo says, “If the touch screen gave Nintendo DS a sense of feel and the microphone allowed it to hear, the two cameras give DSi the sense of sight. With the use of the Nintendo DSi players can manipulate photos, mix all the images and even share them with friends.
The launch is announced when millions of people are turning to mobile games such as on the DS and on smart phones like Apple’s iPhone to themselves busy when free.
