Contra Rebirth now available on Nintendo WiiWare

The game has a storyline that is based on the classic Contra theme and gamers can now follow the adventures of the timeless characters. Players can now experience fast-paced gameplay in an all-new downloadable format.

In this new game gamers will travel back in time to Central America in 1973 and there they will meet the threat of Chief Salamander and his . This force has been found to be taken over the ruins on the Yucatan Peninsula.

Gamers will also find that Salamander and his minions plan for the destruction of all the “Contra” on Earth and the President of Galactic calls upon Lance Bean to find that he has gone missing.

Players will be able to work together in this game by using two player local co-op gameplay to save the alien-invaded planet. This game even features 2 unlockable characters and retro 2D side scrolling action for the old and new Contra fans.

This new game is available for purchase for 1000 points on WiiWare.
