DS the best sold gaming console

It seems that Japan is still interested in handhelds and in Wii Sports Resort. The chart shows that the Nintendo DS is the best sold gaming console. Through the chart it also seems that the Nintendo made game still leads the software charts with a very good margin.
46,855 units of DSi was sold in one week and its only rival, the PlayStation Portable from Sony, took the second place with sales figure of 32,849 units. The DS Lite is at 7,500 units in one week.
In the home gaming console the Nintendo Wii sold close to 25,000 units and it was on the top. It is more than the PS3 and the Xbox 360 managed to sell together.
The big news is from the software charts in which Wii Sports Resort sold more 155,000 copies in the second week of its shelf life. The overall sale of it is more than half a million units.

Sweets are favorites to many. It may be also favorites to many gamers and to many fans of Nintendo. Now there has been launched in the market chocolate case of Nintendo DS.
This case of DS looks like a chocolate bar. You may feel like biting it. Don’t do that, it is just a case and not the real chocolate. Though it looks like the real chocolate. It at least it looks better than the Chocolate iPhone case. This case only melts on your portable, not in your hands.
Well, if gamers and fans of Nintendo are crazy for chocolate then they may get this at $10. It will only make gamers hungry but it may not reduce it.
But it may be worth as far as craziness towards chocolate is concerned.

Nintendo DS leads the industry while other suffers

Nintendo DS has led the video game system sales of America in the month of May. It has sold 633,500 units. This is in fact a hike of 40% compared to the same month in 2008. The sales were split 369,000 and 244,000 of DSi and DS Lite respectively.

The sales of Wii console of Nintendo were down by 57% over May 2008 to 289,500 units. But, the sales of course pushed the console past the 20 million mark in the US after only 31 months on the market.
On the other hand the Xbox 360 suffered the least of the home consoles. It had only a 6% drop in sales over last year. It is a fact that this console is suffering and it shows just how much the US video game industry is suffering.
The total industry sales has dropped below $1 billion for the first time since August 2007.
The NPD Group’s analyst Anita Frazier says, “The video games industry continues to struggle with difficult comparisons to last year, and this is the first month that industry sales have dipped below $1 billion since August 2007. May is typically one of the lowest revenue-generating months in any given year for the industry in general.”

Kingdom Hearts portable game announced at E3

At the Nintendo E3 2009 press conference recently there was on display a beautiful and handful portable gaming titles for the DS and DSi Shop. Officially this portable was yet to be announced.

It was the new Kingdom Hearts portable game that was announced later. It was the first DS version of the collaboration of Square Enix and Disney franchise. Role playing games fans have many more reasons than this to be excited as Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story and also Golden Sun DS were announced at the conference. Gamers can also expect Bowser’s Inside Story this fall. The Golden Sun DS may arrive by the year 2010.
The Nintendo had showcased a desire in the press conference of E3 2009 in order to appeal to fans of James Patterson novels as Women’s Murder Club: Games of Passion checks in to provide a new way to enjoy the crime-solving novels. DS, the fastest console sale in Australia

The Australia sale of Nintendo DS is now the fastest console in the country. It has reached the 2 million unit mark there. It beats both its handheld competitors and also all three major consoles.
Nintendo DS includes Nintendo DS, Nintendo DS Lite and Nintendo DSi. The figure of 2 million has been announced.
The results has been issued by independent market research company GfK Retail and Technology. The huge success of Nintendo is now confirmed as the fastest selling console that has reached the impressive milestone.
The statistics of GfK proofs that the DS reached the milestone in only 221 weeks. It also gives evidence that for the last three years the Nintendo DS has been number one selling console in Australia.

Nintendo now in fresh lime look

At the time Nintendo DS initially came to the market, it was said that Nintendo may continue to support the Game Boy Advance. Yes, it of course did, but it was also clear that the company was trying to steer gamers toward the new hotness. The launch of the DSi, it is assumed to be a similar transition period would take place.

As much as the Nintendo would love for gamers to buy a brand new DSi, it is to be guessed that they are happy if gamers get a DS Lite too. So, they have launched a new lime green DS Lite bundle. This brightly colored new version gaming device is packaged with a copy of Personal Trainer Cooking.
This game is not exactly the same thing as Cooking Mama. It is more of like a real cookbook with also real cooking advice and such. Also, in the bundle is included a fashionable protective case.

GPS navigation in Nintendo DS

Now everything is turning to GPS. Everything else you own will be having GPS navigation. Not only your car, your phone, and the Sony PSP. Now it is the time for the Nintendo DS to get into the GPS game. With this feature you can even locate a gamestop.
It is designed by Fab Chain of China, it is a GPS module for the new NDS Lite. only plug the Ranger into the accessory port on the front of your NDS, and… and you will get turn-by-turn directions with the Google Maps integration. The Google Maps will display maps in 2D and also fake 3D perspective modes. You can also have automatic day/night modes. The module also has its own built in rechargeable batteries. So, now no drain out of your NDS’ power supply.
Yes, another cool thing. This module you can connect the Ranger to your PC or PDA via a USB connection and use it as a GPS on those devices too.
