PSP tops the Nintendo retail sale chart

The Nintendo is ahead of other games of Nintendo in sales according to recent retail data released in .

On Friday Media Create Co. revealed that 59,315 units of was sold and it has ranked No. 1 and 1,890 units of go was sold. It is ranked on as No. 8. The data updated the sales between Apr. 26 and May 2.

LL was at No. 4 with a sales figure of 25,569 units for the week and the sold 15,628 units. During the period the Lite sold 4,069 units.

In the month of March Nintendo released the XL to the . It includes two 4.2-inch LCD screens and it is larger by 93 percent than the Nintendo Lite handheld. The new handheld also has two digital cameras, larger stylus, DSi Sound application, and also a improved battery life. It was released in two colors, Burgundy and Bronze, and it was price tagged at $189.99 each.

The new handheld had pre-installed software such as Brain Age Express: Arts & Letters, Brain Age Express: Math and Photo Clock, and two free applications: the Browser and .

The Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker Entertainment Pack will hit the market in the month of June this year. This pack will include a ‘Spirited Green’ -3000 hardware, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker UMD, exclusive in-game Camouflage Uniform with FOX logos and Stealth Gun feature. It will also have Playstation Network movie download voucher apart from a 2GB Memory Stick Pro Duo. It will be price tagged at $199.99.

20% off on accessories with Nintendo DSi XL

This week begins the week for Nintendo. The Toys R Inc. is offering a flat 20 percent on accessories of XL with every purchase of the hardware. This seems to be a new retail promotion.

According to this new , customers who buys a XL will be getting 20% off on all the accessories.

The accessories that are included are a Car Adapter, Stylus Pack, Screen Protector and Universal Transporter Case.

Nintendo larger-sized version releasing on March 28

The wait ends. On March 28 Nintendo is going to launch its larger-sized version of the DSi handheld.

XL will be available for $189.99. It features a larger screens and stylus. The screen is about 93% bigger than the earlier Lite models.

With the launch, at present, two colors will be available, burgundy and bronze. It will include pre-loaded titles such as , the , a photo clock and also animation app .

Along with the release fresh two games of the : America’s Test Kitchen: Let’s Get Cooking and WarioWare D.I.Y. will also be launched. Here the players will be able to create and share their own mini-games.

Nintendo also unveiled new app that is cartridge-based which transforms DSi into an e-reader. The name of this app is 100 Classic Books and this will include works of William Shakespeare, Mark Twain and many other renowned authors. Additional content may also be downloaded through Wi-Fi.

This new app will be released on June 14 and its price will be $19.99.

The XL is the latest edition of the Nintendo family featuring as big as a 4.2 inch screen which is 93 percent larger compared to Lite’s screens and is also bundled with a thicker stylus.
