In the recent sales data from it is revealed that Corp.’s handheld SKUs outsold the SKUs.

According to Co., the has ranked No. 1 by selling 23,588 where as the go sold 1,026 units and it occupied the 9th place between May 31 and June 6.

If we look at the comparison, it is seen that the LL sold 10,737 units and it is ranked on the 4 position for hardware. Addition to this, 8,219 units were sold of in the same period.

For the same week the sold 1,743 units.

In the month of March released for the the XL. It included

two 4.2-inch LCD screens. Each of the screens were 93 percent larger than handheld. It also has 2 digital cameras, larger stylus, Sound application and of course improved battery life.

It is priced at $189.99 each and is being sold in Burgundy and Bronze colors.

On Friday the Co. reported that 15,879 units of LL were sold units and it ranked No. 3 hardware between the time period of May 10 and May 16.

In the same period 9990 units of were sold.

For the week the was sold by 2,695 units.

The ranked No. 1 and it had sold 24,475 units and the go sold 871 units. It was ranked at No. 9.

In the month of March also released the XL to the . It is
better known with the two 4.2-inch LCD screens and each of it is 93 percent larger than the handheld. It also features 2 digital cameras. It has improved battery life and comes with larger stylus.

This handheld was price tagged at at $189.99.

PSP tops the Nintendo retail sale chart

On Friday Co. revealed that 59,315 units of was sold and it has ranked No. 1 and 1,890 units of go was sold. It is ranked on as No. 8. The data updated the sales between Apr. 26 and May 2.

LL was at No. 4 with a sales figure of 25,569 units for the week and the sold 15,628 units. During the period the sold 4,069 units.

In the month of March released the XL to the . It includes two 4.2-inch LCD screens and it is larger by 93 percent than the handheld. The new handheld also has two digital cameras, larger stylus, Sound application, and also a improved battery life. It was released in two colors, Burgundy and Bronze, and it was price tagged at $189.99 each.

The new handheld had pre-installed software such as Brain Age Express: Arts & Letters, Brain Age Express: Math and Photo Clock, and two free applications: the Browser and Flipnote Studio.

The Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker Entertainment Pack will hit the market in the month of June this year. This pack will include a ‘Spirited Green’ -3000 hardware, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker UMD, exclusive in-game Camouflage Uniform with FOX logos and Stealth Gun feature. It will also have Playstation Network movie download voucher apart from a 2GB Memory Stick Pro Duo. It will be price tagged at $199.99.

It was too much assumed way back in the year 2005 that the may win the battle of the handheld games consoles. The reason behind this is that the was sleek and have gorgeous widescreen display. Where as the looked like a toy. Though the two screens were included but it was not enough to get anyone excited. However, the has done well enough and it sold over 50m units. But the was not so bad even. The ugly duckling has grown into a phenomenon.

has now shifted over 100m units. In this recent trend, the has overtook the and has become the biggest selling games in the history of UK.

The big question arises that why has the done so well?

There are three main factors to be credited. It has the ability to jab at a screen with a stylus and this was usually enough for gamers to attract. More to this the sleek and the minimal styling of the later models helped it to become more famous. And not to forget, the most important of all, the has been popular due to the variety of content.

DS again remains best-selling in Japan

According to the data released from , it is revealed that the again remains the best-selling in . The data is for the week ending 18th of October.

sold 51 735 units in combined total. In it the contributed 49 145 and the just 2 590. It is also learned from the data that the sales of the has dropped marginally from last week’s tally but there was a drop of 2800 units on .

In the second place is the with 33 508 units. It has dropped quite substantially from last week’s 40 100. The third place is reserved for the with 30 231 units. It is just 266 units ahead of the in fourth place with 29 965. The sales of both remains steady from last week.

There was a slight increase in the sales of . It is the only to record a sales boost with 2 109 units sold. The PS2 is steady with 2 109 units.

Nintendo DS tops in August

The sales of video game for the month of August this year was down from the previous year. But not for all. The sales were considerably up from the month prior. It sold roughly the twice amount. Let us give a thank note to the mid-month price drop.

The data of reveals that sold 210,000 PlayStation 3s in the last month. There was a $100 drop that took an effect at some of the retailers as early as August 18th. It likely translated to a price conscious boost in sales.

Oh yes, the sales also experienced a late August drop. It got a minor boost.

DSi ranked top in Japan retail sale

According to the recent reports of Co. the has sold 40,464 units between 8th of June and 16th of June 16 to rank No. 1 in overall sales.

When compared, the sold 27,884 units and has been ranked second in the same period.

Japan hardware sales down

Sales of every platform decline in the week ended on 17th in . The data has been given by tracking firm .

sold 34,152 in this week. Though it lead all other platforms for the second consecutive week, but weekly sales for the platform were down by 20,000 units from the previous week.
’s was the second with 28,683 units sold. It is down from 43,000 the week before.
The sales of received a strong boost over past weeks from few good releases like Yakuza 3 and Resident Evil 5 in . Not to forget the Blu-ray release of the movie Final Fantasy VII.
