Japan Chart: Nintendo DS line leads

The total sales of line in market has led all other platforms this week i.e. LL, and , says tracking firm Media Create. The and of saw a sales boost.

The -3000 sold 37,127 units this week ended October 17. It is about a 4,000 unit increase from the last week. The 3 saw an increase of 2,000 unit approximately. It jumped to the second position from number four on the charts.

Go experienced a sales boost. From last week’s 1,373 units, it jumped to 1,715 units this week.

On the other side, the sales of hardware of remained constant. Only the hardware had seen a notable change. It sold about 1,500 fewer units than the previous week. It came down to the foruth position.

The total sales of the line this week were 47,101 units. It is enough to lead the sales of all-platforms.

It was too much assumed way back in the year 2005 that the may win the battle of the handheld games consoles. The reason behind this is that the was sleek and have gorgeous widescreen display. Where as the looked like a toy. Though the two screens were included but it was not enough to get anyone excited. However, the has done well enough and it sold over 50m units. But the was not so bad even. The ugly duckling has grown into a phenomenon.

DS the best sold gaming console

Sales of every platform decline in the week ended on 17th in . The data has been given by tracking firm Media Create.

sold 34,152 in this week. Though it lead all other platforms for the second consecutive week, but weekly sales for the platform were down by 20,000 units from the previous week.
’s was the second with 28,683 units sold. It is down from 43,000 the week before.
The sales of 3 received a strong boost over past weeks from few good releases like Yakuza 3 and Resident Evil 5 in . Not to forget the Blu-ray release of the movie Final Fantasy VII.
’s , ’s and Microsoft’s 360 rounded out the depressed hardware charts.
